A 24-year-old man was arrested and charged with 78 counts of first-degree rape Saturday after sexually assaulting two children over a nearly two-year period ending in 2005, Milford police said. Daryl B. Baldwin Jr. was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $1.5 million bail. Milford police say Baldwin sexually assaulted two victims, ages 10 and 7, from August 2003 to May 2005 at two locations in Milford. Baldwin additionally was charged with five counts of second-degree unlawful sexual contact, two counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child, one count of third-degree unlawful sexual contact, 11 counts of endangering the welfare of a child and three counts of first-degree indecent exposure.
